[2023/12/31 14:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: As for Bargyles' lair: It's a three story tower in a large courtyard, which has one large entrance. The tower is 30' diameter, and the courtyard 50'. Inside the grounds of the courtyard are low hedges and flower beds, with lifelike statues of animals and four plain white marble human formed statues, which are completely devoid of features (think store mannequins).

Meanwhile, Arihpass wonders why she's flapping her arms - wait, no, they're wings! - and hovering in the air.

Arihpass flies at speed around the garden, nope, no sign of bodies, just the humanoid statues that are converging on Nalixa. It appears you can't fly above the height of the courtyard wall, although, being made of marble and flying is a pretty impressive trick as it is.

[2023/12/31 15:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: Cats are indeed fast, you can literally run rings round them. Meanwhile Arihpass swoops round, screeching: kee-eeeee-arr, kee-eeeee-arr, kee-eeeee-arr! The statues wave their arms, swinging wildly to hit, for now they miss.

[2024/01/01 15:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Not worth going into, but you may want to google it later... it was the reason I had to by a CD Rom drive. That comment from the character was always infuriating/amusing.)
[2024/01/01 15:45] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Odd that he would leave this potions just... laying about. Part of some sort of puzzle?" Arihipas asks, glancing at the mirrors. Hand mirrors, wall mirrors, some weirder shape?

[2024/01/01 15:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's hard to say what the potions do, and they don't look particularly good to drink. The mirrors just look like plain old mirrors of assorted sizes and styles. Other than a doorway to the stairs up, not a lot to see here.

[2024/01/01 15:47] Sonja Bikergrrl: You head to the stairs... they go up. Nothing happens, as far as you can tell. Who's going first?

[2024/01/01 15:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's a pretty plain and empty room - if you don't count the four marble figures, which resemble the ones from the courtyard - except these are a bit more "finished" with features and some musculature as opposed to the plain and featureless ones.
[2024/01/01 16:00] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "A display room? then what was downstairs?" He moves up to inspect this marble figures more closely, shield at the ready.
[2024/01/01 16:01] Alicia Frakture: Yeah this one got hurt by the ones outside. she is keeping a respectable distance
[2024/01/01 16:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: Not sure you got a shield, but, you do get a shower of purple sparkles! And then you feel your vision flicker, and... you see yourselves entering the room, from the points of view of the marble statues. You look around and down, and notice that you ARE a marble statue now - and "your" bodies are coming to attack!

[2024/01/02 17:07] Alicia Frakture: Nalixa makes a drinking motion to Ariphas to drink his potion while she casts Cure light wounds on the next statue
[2024/01/02 17:09] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Nalaxis's idea was a good one, and Ariphas will copy it, putting his hands to the chest of the next statue and sending the positive energy of a cure light wounds into it. Same hand with the flame blade

[2024/01/02 17:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: You cast healing spells on the statues. The green healing energy causes the damaged one to shatter into small pieces, and Ariphas manages to totally destroy an undamaged statue.

[2024/01/02 17:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: Meanwhile the last statue punches at Nalaxis. It gets a nat 20, and trips over its' own feet, and smashes to the ground heavily. It starts to get up again.
[2024/01/02 17:13] Alicia Frakture: Casts cure light wounds on the one that fell.
[2024/01/02 17:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: Ariphas?
[2024/01/02 17:13] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "We are here in the name of the local lord and the goddess of silks and gears. You used your brilliant artwork as crude pugilists. The skill of you craft is mismatched with your wisdom," he taunts back to him. "Admit you are bested and come with us while you still have works remaining."

[2024/01/02 17:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: Bargle winces as the last remaining statue gets healing energy poured into it, cracking and flaking off bits of marble. "Okay, okay, we'll call it a draw," he says, "A fee, you said? Would you take an IOU, perhaps?"
[2024/01/02 17:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: And it looks like you've made it to the end of this little one... well done Mecha for figuring that out so fast ;)
[2024/01/02 17:17] Alicia Frakture: Honestly it was thinking a reflection so if it was cast on the statue it would rebound back and then we would go from there
[2024/01/02 17:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: the mirrors were a slight clue... misses hit, hits miss, heals damage, damages heal
[2024/01/02 17:18] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: and then we kept going for non-lethal takedowns and confusing the system
[2024/01/02 17:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: since both your sheets have unused healing potions, they can be rewards carried onto your "main" sheets - add "healing potion".
